It's true that every person needs a certain amount of sleep dependant on their own body, but are you getting enough to rejuvenate and promote weight loss? When you are working hard to get in tip top shape, your body is working as a well oiled machine. Burning hundreds and hundreds of calories a day and giving you enough energy to stay active and feel energized. Without this crucial time period of rest, you are putting yourself at a very large disadvantage and lessen your bodies ability to fight off that extra fat you've been carrying for so long.

Although it does vary from person to person, a great amount of sleep to get each night is 8 Hours. Some people need more, and some people need less. This is something you will need to know so that you can prepare the night beforehand. When waking up you should feel refreshed and ready to roll for the day. If you wake up feeling groggy and just can't get that pep in your step you're needing, you should start with adding another 30 minutes to your sleep a night and see if that helps. Sometimes those small differences in sleep make a HUGE difference in the amount of energy you have during the day.

One disadvantage that I felt from not getting enough sleep was that my motivation to work out was diminished so greatly. So not only was I not wanting to workout, I was going to have a horrible workout because I didn't have any energy! It only took a week or so to really pinpoint how much sleep I needed personally, which was 8 hours. If you make this a priority you will have a much easier time losing weight as this is something you can easily control.
